Your feet are amazing. Such a beautiful, important part of your body. God created them to carry you wherever you go. It is your choice if they carry you towards things that are good and honourable, or towards things that are evil and dishonourable. Every day, we choose where our feet carry us. "For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?" Psalm 56:13
When we were small, others used their feet to carry us. Where were you taken? Did you go to places where you were loved and cherished? I pray if you were carried to ugly places you didn't want to go, that God will heal your heart. I pray you will choose to walk in wisdom -- that you will never use your feet to lead others astray. "Her (wisdom's) ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace." Proverbs 3:17
As you grew, your feet discovered something. Freedom! You could go where you chose. Your feet taught your body as fun as it sounded, dancing on broken glass or pretty, vibrant hot coals was not a brilliant idea. Others gave you direction about which way to go. "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice." Proverbs 12:15
Sometimes that advice was dangerous. Friends' feet may have been swift to run towards evil. Sin could shackle your feet and hold you hostage. Your feet had to be taught not to follow evil. "Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established." Proverbs 4:26 You are in charge of where your feet take you. I pray your feet will carry you to tell others about the love of God. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:13-15
You are walking towards a destiny. So, the question is, where are your feet taking you? Are you on the narrow path that leads to life, or are you walking on the wide road that leads to destruction? Chose wisely, because only one way leads to life. The finish line is just ahead. The race will be over in a few heartbeats. I pray your feet will ultimately lead you before the mercy seat of God where He can say to you, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master.’" Matthew 25:23 Blessings, Beloved of God.
