"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me." John 15:4
We need God—we are completely helpless without Him. As a branch that is severed from the vine will eventually die—we cannot live without being attached to God. Our bodies and souls (mind, will, and emotions) may be alive but our spirit will be dead. (That's the part of man that died in the garden.) Abide means to rest in, remain, stay connected, attached. The vine is the source of everything for the branch.

God wants our lives to overflow with abundant fruitfulness. What comes out of our lives is the essence of who we are. The fruit of our lives is the love, integrity, and character within us. God creates beautiful fruit in His children so that His life, refreshment, encouragement, love, and hope can touch and bless other lives."I am the vine, you are the branches; He that abides in me, and I in him, brings forth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5 In God there is shelter, hope, comfort, safety, love. We can trust Him. I pray you will abide in HIm. May your life be filled with beautiful fruit for His glory. Blessings, Beloved of God.
